The Downstairs Twin bedroom boasts antique twin beds with queen sized feather duvets and large wardrobe space.
The Pink Room
The Pink Room is a super king sized bedroom, located upstairs with views to the North and West and Mt Hutt on a good day. Beautiful feather duvet, mattress toppers, pillows and linen. Ample wardrobe space.

We had a lovely weekend at Ali's place. The location is great for the Saturday Market, the beautiful Domain and a supermarket. Great kitchen, the dining and relaxing sitting room are nicely decorated. Comfy beds! Ali is responsive and helpful. Def recommend:)

Ali had us all organised with ease - and the home was just divine, so peaceful, the best sleep, and the home is luxurious really. The continental breakfast provisions were delicious and next level. Really enjoyed the history of the home and its architect, a morning walk in the domain was beautiful, and the kids loved the museum on the same street. The new library was a short walk and it is pretty fantastic, kept my kids happy for hours, we must have visited daily! Thanks Ali, we will definitely be back :)

We had such a wonderful stay at Ali’s absolutely gorgeous home! It was the perfect base for exploring the Mount Hutt snowfields, with Ashburton being an ideal midpoint location. The house was beautifully decorated, warm, and welcoming. It had everything we needed to make our stay coamfortable and relaxing.
Ali went above and beyond by leaving us some of her delicious handmade jams and even ensured we had breakfast supplies for our first morning, which was such a thoughtful touch. Communication with Ali was seamless, she provided all the necessary information ahead of time and was quick to respond to any questions we had.
We would definitely recommend a stay in Ali’s home to anyone visiting the area. Thank you again, Ali!

Absolutely superb. The house is perfect, feels like a real home. All the furnishings and appliances are top-notch, notably in the kitchen. Loved the beds, extraordinarily comfortable; deep sleeps on each of the two nights there. And the house is very quiet, looking out the dining room is a view that makes you feel you are in a small village. The conservancy is fantastic. Nice lounge with wood fire. Truly dog-friendly. Can honestly find no fault in anything. Ali is an incredibly responsive host. Having stayed in c. 40 holiday homes in NZ, this was one of the top three, despite not being in a classic rural setting. Actually Ashburton is a nice town; some nice walks (Lake Hook trail is very pretty, especially the bit near Lake Hood itself) and a nice Saturday market (great fresh fish). Ali’s house is a real gem. Will go out of my way to stay here again.

A beautiful house in a beautiful location! Very private and quiet, and more spacious (and cozy) than the pictures suggest. Immaculate, and everything is well appointed; with numerous thoughtful touches throughout. Would highly recommend!

This home is absolutely exquisite! It was spotless and perfectly decorated. It was extremely welcoming - Ali had turned on the lights and heating for our late arrival along with a supply of food including fresh eggs, coffee, juice, granola and yoghurt. This is now one of our most favourite accommodation places we have ever stayed and we will be talking about it for years! Absolute perfection!

Awesome accommodation for our short stay. Beautiful property with plenty of indoor outdoor space. Homely feel and everything we needed, good kitchen, bbq and washing drying facilities. Nice quiet location hand to all amenities supermarket, huge park, children’s playground, museum and library, shops etc.

Simply beautiful. My family lives in Ashburton, and I can confidently say I’ve never come across a more charming home in the area. Ali is an incredible host—possibly one of the best I’ve encountered on Airbnb. Every little detail has been thoughtfully considered, making the home feel comforting, inviting, and wonderfully homely. Ali even left us some delicious shortbread and Christmas treats, which was such a lovely touch. Although it was quite cold during our stay, lighting the fire made everything feel cozy and perfect. I will absolutely be rebooking! I cannot recommend this place enough - thank you so much Ali!!
